MECX’s commitment to safety has resulted in the reception of a Safety Achievement Award from our client, Jacobs, for the work we recently completed at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. Johnson Space Center and Jacobs recognize the outstanding commitment and participation to worker health and safety that MECX has displayed in the face of the challenges represented with upgrading one of the world’s largest vacuum chambers. The chamber is being upgraded to accommodate testing of the James Webb Space Telescope, which is replacing the Hubble Space Telescope. MECX continues to work with Jacobs on the JWST project by fabricating and installing custom designed vacuum components for the test chambers.
