SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Mr. Carvel is a retired Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer and Registered Professional Civil/Environmental/Structural engineer with over 28 years of experience in environmental engineering. A former Commanding Officer of the Navy's Environmental Engineering Unit, Doug's experience includes project engineering design and construction, and engineering project planning and cost estimating, project management, environmental regulatory analysis, environmental audits, and hazardous waste site investigations. Environmental Remediation and closure experience includes the design, implementation, and closure using a wide range of remedial options and closure programs including innovative technology applications and Risk Based closure approaches for petroleum products, heavy metals, and chlorinated solvents in soil and groundwater.
Mr. Carvel is currently the President and an owner of MECx, LP(MECx). Mr. Carvel's responsibilities include the development and application of remedial technologies including MECx's patented and proprietary technologies for the treatment of recalcitrant compounds in soil and groundwater.
